This is not a post about whether we should be eating dairy or not, but whether we actually need dairy in our diet. Of course there’s the obvious push that it gives us strong bones and it’s a great source of calcium and protein. But can these be sourced from anywhere else to the extent our body needs?

The other question I ask myself is; are people eating dairy because it tastes nice, not because they are actually worried about their bones in the first place? When I sit in a cafe on a Saturday morning and watch people drinking their lattes, I’m pretty sure they couldn’t give a sh*t about calcium levels and bone density as they are simply enjoying their coffee.

Breakfast Ideas for Your 180 Nutrition Lifestyle

Let’s start with the obvious. The quick, easy, on the go breakfast – the smoothie. There are so many options with the smoothie, along with your 180 Natural Protein Superfood. An excellent source of protein that makes an easy add in is the nut butters (peanut butter, yes, but also the commonly overlooked almond and cashew butters). An excellent and easy smoothie that tastes fantastic, too. We mix banana with almond butter (and also with peanut butter). I have to admit, one of our absolute favorites is to mix a couple of raw eggs and a fresh drinking coconut, flesh and all.

There is always the standby, the most commonly thought of “protein” breakfast food out there. Eggs. I don’t know about you, but we love eggs. To get the highest amount of protein we always advise choosing free range and organic where possible. But, a nice egg and cheese omelet with the 180 formula sprinkled in works well. We like to put asparagus and a little bit of ham in our omelets as well. But, really, there are countless ways to enjoy an omelet and keep it healthy.

We are on-the-go types, and prefer something relatively easy, so often prepare a quiche the night before (our favorite is spinach and mushroom with Swiss cheese, and we are also fond of adding sausage and to a quiche as well). This is another thing that can put in the fridge and last a couple days (which helps keep the choices to eat right an easy one).

Finally, keep in mind that there are hundreds of ways to have high protein breakfast that you can include your 180 formula directly into. It is most important to make sure that you are not missing breakfast. Whether you’re following a strictly high protein breakfast, or sticking to the high protein on workout days, you mustn’t skip breakfast! Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, and you need it to help maintain your healthy lifestyle! Ingredients:

  • ¾ – cup 180 Natural Protein Superfood

  • ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda
